About WW Uniform Service

History

For a century and counting, WW Uniform Service has been a locally-owned and family-run company rooted in the community. Our journey began in 1924 when Hamilton Bates and William Watrous founded White Way laundry in Deep River, Connecticut. From there, we rapidly expanded, and we opened plants in New Haven and Wallingford. By 1948, we entered the world of dry cleaning and proudly became a certified Sanitone dry cleaner by 1952. The growth didn’t stop there; in 1973, we began providing uniform rental programs to local businesses - a division that grew quickly.

Today, we are a leading uniform rental company serving Connecticut, New York State, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. We expanded our services to include facility supplies, and most recently a first aid & safety division. We are proud to serve a variety of industries throughout the Northeast, from manufacturing and healthcare to food processing and corporate.
