Our Company
For over 90 years, White Way Laundry Inc. has been doing business a little differently. We’re a family-owned company that truly cares about our customers – and we’re proud to offer the finest dry cleaning, laundry, and uniform and facility supply services. From customer service through billing, we pledge to provide you with personalized service.
Founded as a laundry company in 1924 by Hamilton Bates and William Watrous in Deep River, Connecticut, White Way soon expanded its business, opening plants in New Haven and Wallingford. By 1948, the company offered dry cleaning services, and in 1952, it became a Sanitone dry cleaner. By 1973, we started offering uniform rental programs to local businesses – a division that grew rapidly.
WW Dry Cleaning has three locations, including a state-of-the-art plant and a convenient drive-thru, and we serve all of Connecticut. The best part? Even if there’s not a location near you, we provide free pick-up and delivery.

We Believe in Green Sustainability
White Way works hard to ensure that all of our business practices are eco-friendly. We see ourselves as stewards of our environment, which is why we constantly explore new initiatives in green sustainability, including:
- Recycling. We actively work to recycle cardboard and plastics, including hangers and poly bags. Through this initiative, we recycle 35,000 - 45,000 hangers each week.
- Biodegradable soaps. All of our soap products are free of APEs, NPEs, EDTAs, and phosphates. Our detergents are naturally based, sustainable, and have been thoroughly lab tested.
- Reduced water & energy use. We use computer-controlled washers and high-efficiency lighting throughout our facilities, and we recycle more than 30% of our water.
- Clean Water Act (CWA) compliance. White Way holds permanent wastewater permits with the EPA.
The bottom line? No one in the industry works harder to preserve our natural resources.
